Energinee – Training Prisoners to make Idols from Ashes

If you’re looking for gifting options in god idols but want to avoid the PoP kinds, then we have something mind-blowing for you! While you’ll get idols made of eco-friendly materials, try something new this time like god idols made of incense ashes. This is exactly what Energinee Innovations does.

Aha! factor

These sculptures may look ordinary at first glance but the fact that they are made of incense ashes is what makes them unique.

Energinee Innovations uses 3D printing technology to transform ashes into craftwork, sculptures, and pots. Founder Akash Singh was intrigued by the disposal system of the mounds of incense ashes at temples which are more often than not dumped into water bodies.

Disturbed by the fact, Akash decided on an eco-friendly approach – turning them into craft items.

From laughing Buddhas, bust of Buddha, to Ganesh ji, you will find an array of sculptures, made with the help of prison inmates of Gautam Budd Nagar, Noida.

The startup sells the craftworks, sculptures and pots to gifting shops, corporate partners, festival organizing committees, and at stalls.

While the fragrance of the incense has died, these ashes are still spreading their aroma.
